Tascam’s new 8 track Hard Disk recorder with a 7.5GB drive offers either 16 or 24 bit recording and provides 3 band EQ with parametric mid, waveform display on the screen, 250 virtual tracks per song, 999 levels of undo, MMC/MTC sync and a huge rangeof onboard effects. There is a built in digital time-stretcher which allows you to audition tracks in slow motion playback at 50%, 65% or 85% normal speed, without changing pitch. SCSI backup to CDR is possible under the 788’s control and the mixerincludes S/PDIF master stereo I/O.
